Artist Statements
An artist statement differs from a biography, which tends to contain more factual, accomplishment-based information. An artist statement helps others understand what matters to you as an artist. (The very process of writing an artist statement can help you identify that for yourself!) An artist statement can be as much to communicate to others as it is to be clear with yourself.
Residencies
At its core, an artist residency is an opportunity for artists to develop work in another organization’s space. A residency is a great way for your company or collective to access resources and support from a larger, more established institution.
